A lawyer for Rep. Cynthia McKinney, the Georgia congresswoman who had an altercation with a Capitol Police officer, says she was "just a victim of being in Congress while black."

A missed opportunity.

It's too bad. African Americans had one more opportunity to shine as a people in power. Admit the truth, apologize and move on. But as usual they failed miserably by playing the race card one more time.
